High output 5 watt GU10 LED that is part of Aurora Lighting Ice range delivering a bright 480 to 600 lumen output. It has a wide beam angle of 60 degrees which helps to spread the light out further and more consistently. This combination of a brighter light and wider beam spreads more light out across a larger area of a room allowing fewer downlights to be installed.
Aurora Ice GU10 LEDs have proven to be highly successful with over 200 independent customer reviews. They're long lasting, cost effective and a bright lighting solution...What more could you ask for?

Specifications & Dimensions
Specifications Beam AngleSpecifications
Every light source from an LED to a simple wax candle has a beam angle. A beam angle is a measurement of how the light is distributed. GU10 LEDs and recessed downlights have a fairly narrow beam of around 40 degrees, anything within 5 degrees is classed as a medium beam.
A wax candle or traditional light bulb would have a beam angle of 360 degrees as the light shines all the way around but is less intense.
Combing brighter downlights with wider 60 degree beams allows you to space them out further, reducing the total amount of lights needed.

60 Degrees BrandSpecifications Aurora Lighting CRISpecifications
CRI stands for Colour Rendering Index. It is a measurement of how well a light source can render the true colour of an object compared to natural light.
Rated out of 100, with an open flame or sunlight being a perfect 100. A light with 90 CRI and above would be classed as having high CRI, while 80 CRI is the standard for LEDs.
80 Ra Cap Type GU10 Colour TemperatureSpecifications
Colour temperature is a measurement of appearance. Measured in Kelvins, the lower the rating, the warmer the light appears. Choosing the right temperature can have a dramatic effect on a room.
2700K - Extra Warm White
Similar to a traditional incandescent light bulb or halogen. It has a more orange and warmer tone, with a ‘soft white’ appearance. Ideal for living rooms.
3000K - Warm White
Clearer, but still quite warm. This is the ‘new norm’ for general lighting and is the most popular option. If you’re unsure I’d recommend trying this one.
4000K - Cool White
Clearer, whiter and crisp; used in commercial locations including supermarkets. Cool white appears brighter than warm white as the LED is covered in less phosphor. It can make a room appear cold and clinical but used correctly (white walls etc) it can make a room appear cleaner and modern.

Product Questions & AnswersHi, what IP rating is this bulb and what zones is it suitable for?Question by: Jesse Woods on 3 Jan 2023, 09:01The IP rating for light bulbs isn't usually important as the light fitting that its housed in provides the IP rating.
But the answer would be IP20, which means its touch proof.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 3 Jan 2023, 10:05Do you do any other wattages of this lamp?Question by: MSE on 17 Jul 2023, 15:16We have a budget version of this lamp, which isn't quite as bright and has a 38 degree beam:
Or we have some other brands like Philips and Integral:

Question by: Kev on 28 Sep 2023, 16:08I've checked and these are 560lm. It sounds like you may have either the 3W or 4W version.Answer by: Mathew Smith (Admin) on 30 Sep 2023, 08:52Are these bulbs suitable for bathrooms?Question by: Paula on 9 Nov 2023, 19:30You need to put them inside a bathroom rated downlight or fitting that's IP44 or above. Usually IP65 rated is most popular.
Its the fitting that's important to be water rated, not the bulb.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 9 Nov 2023, 19:47As I dim these, will the colour temperature remain the same or will it become warmer?Question by: sonya mcgilchrist on 11 Nov 2023, 22:12The colour temperature will stay the same, the lumen output will reduce.Answer by: Mathew Smith (Admin) on 13 Nov 2023, 08:29
