How to Select the Right LED Driver
- Make sure that the output voltage of this LED driver is the same of the LED lights you want to power. The output voltage of these LED drivers are 12V DC.
- Make sure that the combined wattage of the LED lights doesn't exceed the wattage of the LED driver. Example: The 8W driver will power 1 to 2, 3W LED lights or 1 to 4, 2W lights.
- Decide if you want non dimmable which is usually operated from a basic light switch. Or dimmable which requires an LED compatible dimmer switch or home automation system that has leading edge or trailing edge dimming functionality.
- Each of these drivers comes with a TOP6 connector which has 6 outlets. This allows 6 LED lights with the corresponding TOP6 connector to be plugged in. This makes wiring easier.

Specifications & Dimensions
Specifications Brand SpecificationsLeyton Lighting Dimensions Located Below Specifications Table Dimmable Operation Mode SpecificationsConstant voltage LED drivers have a 12V or 24V DC output voltage. They are mainly used to power LED tape and smaller LED lights.
Constant current LED drivers have a 350mA or 700mA output. They are used to power more specialised LED fittings that require a precise current.
Many other output voltages and currents are avaialble but these are the most popular examples.
Constant Voltage Product Type SpecificationsLED Driver Sku DRV12-TOP6* Voltage SpecificationsAC standards for alternating current and DC standards for direct current.
Mains voltage is 230V AC and has a tolerance of 10%, some products are 220V or 240V AC which means they can be classed as mains voltage.
DC voltages usually require an LED driver to convert the mains voltage AC into low voltage DC. Popular DC voltages are 12V or 24V DC.
