Wattage tells you how much electricity the fitting uses; lumens tell you how much light it produces. A wattage switch sets the maximum output. You can then use a compatible LED dimmer to adjust the light below that level.
Colour temperature
Lower Kelvin values look warmer. Choose 2200K–2700K for a cosy effect, 3000K for a warm but clean appearance, 4000K for a cooler task-lighting effect, or 5700K–6500K for a daylight-like white.
CRI
CRI measures how accurately a light reveals colours. CRI 80 is suitable for normal household lighting, CRI 85 is a useful step up and CRI 90 makes colours and finishes look richer and more natural.
Cut-out and depth
When replacing existing lights, measure the ceiling hole rather than only the visible bezel. Also check the void above the ceiling for joists, pipes and other obstructions. Bell's 33.5mm depth is the easiest fit in a tight void.

Frequently asked questions
Are all of these downlights dimmable?
Yes. All six downlights are dimmable, but you still need a compatible LED dimmer. The wattage selector chooses the fitting's maximum power and brightness; the wall dimmer provides day-to-day brightness control.
Which colour temperature is best for a home?
2700K is the most popular choice for warm, comfortable home lighting. 3000K feels slightly cleaner while remaining warm, and 4000K is often chosen for kitchens, bathrooms and work areas. Because these models are CCT switchable, you can compare the settings in the actual room before making a final decision.
What is the difference between wattage switching and dimming?
Wattage switching changes the fitting's full-power output. Dimming continuously adjusts brightness using a suitable wall dimmer. For example, you might set a downlight to its lower wattage in a small bathroom so it can never become unnecessarily bright, while still using a dimmer to reduce it further.
Can these downlights be covered with insulation?
They are all classed as insulation coverable, but the approved insulation type and covering method can differ. For example, some manufacturers specify mineral wool, rolled insulation or blown insulation. Always follow the individual manufacturer's instructions and leave the driver or connector positioned as directed.
Are these suitable for bathrooms?
All six are IP65 rated from below, making them suitable for many bathroom locations. The correct fitting and installation method still depend on the bathroom zone and current wiring regulations, so the final installation should be checked and completed by a qualified electrician.
Does IP65 mean I can use them outdoors?
Not automatically. An IP65 front rating does not mean the entire fitting has been designed for prolonged outdoor exposure. Use a dedicated exterior or soffit downlight when the product will be installed outside.
Why should I choose a 10-pack?
White 10-packs reduce the price per downlight and simplify ordering for kitchens, extensions and whole-house projects. They also help you keep every fitting on a circuit consistent, which is particularly useful when dimming LEDs.
Can the LED be replaced?
These are integrated LED downlights, so the whole fitting would normally be replaced at the end of its life. The Ansell Prism Pro XM is the exception in this comparison because its LED light engine and driver are available as replaceable components.
