Strip lights remain the most popular choice for kitchen cabinet lighting. LED strip lights offer a low energy, longer lasting alternative to fluorescent. They are easy to install, especially the mains voltage ones as they have a built in LED driver.

They provide a diffused and continuous lighting effect, just like a fluorescent but consume around 50% less energy. The LED light source is integrated into the fitting and is non-replaceable. Extra lights can be connected together, either directly for longer kitchen cabinets or with a coupling cable which can be used for corners or for going around cooker hoods etc.

We offer 3 different types of LED strip lights:

  1. Mains voltage under cabinet lights. We offer 3 brands of these that include Aurora, Forum and Philips.

  2. LED strip tape. This is a flexible series of LEDs that comes on a self-adhesive strip. It can be stuck to a surface using the self-adhesive backing, just like Sellotape but with LEDs. LED strip tape operates on 12V or 24V and requires an additional LED driver. It offers much more flexibility as it can be cut down to size or supplied in longer lengths. It is available in a wider range of colour temperatures, colour changing and colour temperature adjustable versions.

  3. By installing LED strip tape inside an aluminium extrusion profile you can create the best of both worlds. With the modern looking style of the under cabinet strip light and the versatility of LED strip tape. You can easily install a colour changing LED tape that also has a true warm white colour within a robust profile rail.

These items can either be ordered in component form, or we can supply LED strips pre-fitted inside a profile rail with an input or output cable to any length you desire. Our LED tape guide found below features further information about how to order LED tape.
