Customisable LED Strip Tape - Now you can easily order customised LED strip tape with a specially soldered 1 metre input cable (compared with the 150mm length which comes as standard).
Simply select your desired colour temperature, IP rating and the length of LED tape you need. If you want a length that isn't listed such as a 2.5M length, order a 3M length and snip off the end. We do offer a fully bespoke soldering service, but ordering this way is fast and efficient.
If you want a longer input cable, it can be extended with some separate cable available here. Then connected with basic strip connectors, 162 Series wiring connectors, or Wago miniature wiring connector.
This is our premium rated COB (Chip on Board) LED strip tape that offers a seamless, dot-free illumination. With its 480 LEDs per metre and 15 watt energy consumption it delivers unrivalled lighting results.

General Q&A
Can I cut and reconnect LED tape myself?
This particular LED tape has cut points at every 50mm intervals. If you cut a section off and want to connect it to a power source, you'll need to add an input cable to it. This can be done by soldering or with a solder-free connector such as these:
- Solder-free input connector with 200mm of cable (adds a new input connection)
- Solder-free strip to strip connector (connects 2 strips directly together)
- Solder-free interconnection cable with 200mm of cable (ideal for corners & bends)
Do I need a transformer?
Yes, this LED tape requires a 24V DC supply, an LED driver is the more accurate name for a transformer or power supply. The LED driver converts mains AC (Alternating Current) voltage into DC (Direct Current) voltage. The size of the LED driver is dependant on the total length or lengths of LED tape you're powering from it.
The selection table below shows recommendations for dimmable and non dimmable LED drivers.
LENGTH WATTAGE NON DIM DRIVER DIMMABLE DRIVER 1M 15W ECP15-24VF-1 ELED-15-24T 2M 30W LPV-60-24 ELED-30P-24T 3M 45W LPV-60-24 ELED-60P-24T 5M 75W LPV-100-24 ELED-90P-24T 10M 150W HLG-150H-24A ELED-150P-24T Is one big LED driver better or multiple smaller ones?
For projects like kitchen under cabinet lighting where you'll most likely have multiple sections for each cabinet, its usually better to have smaller LED drivers which are closely located next to each strip. This can avoid having to run additional cables around obstacles like cooker hoods etc. But it does depend on the layout of your room.

Specifications & Dimensions
Specifications Beam Angle SpecificationsEvery light source from an LED to a simple wax candle has a beam angle. A beam angle is a measurement of how the light is distributed. GU10 LEDs and recessed downlights have a fairly narrow beam of around 40 degrees, anything within 5 degrees is classed as a medium beam.
A wax candle or traditional light bulb would have a beam angle of 360 degrees as the light shines all the way around but is less intense.
Combing brighter downlights with wider 60 degree beams allows you to space them out further, reducing the total amount of lights needed.

140 Degrees Brand SpecificationsLED Strip Fit CRI SpecificationsCRI stands for Colour Rendering Index. It is a measurement of how well a light source can render the true colour of an object compared to natural light.
Rated out of 100, with an open flame or sunlight being a perfect 100. A light with 90 CRI and above would be classed as having high CRI, while 80 CRI is the standard for LEDs.
90 Ra Cable Cores 2 Cap Type Integrated LED Colour Temperature SpecificationsColour temperature is a measurement of appearance. Measured in Kelvins, the lower the rating, the warmer the light appears. Choosing the right temperature can have a dramatic effect on a room.
2700K - Extra Warm White
Similar to a traditional incandescent light bulb or halogen. It has a more orange and warmer tone, with a ‘soft white’ appearance. Ideal for living rooms.
3000K - Warm White
Clearer, but still quite warm. This is the ‘new norm’ for general lighting and is the most popular option. If you’re unsure I’d recommend trying this one.
4000K - Cool White
Clearer, whiter and crisp; used in commercial locations including supermarkets. Cool white appears brighter than warm white as the LED is covered in less phosphor. It can make a room appear cold and clinical but used correctly (white walls etc) it can make a room appear cleaner and modern.

Cut Points 50 mm Dimensions Located Below Specifications Table Dimmable Yes IP Rating SpecificationsIP (International or Ingress Protection) defines a products level of resistance to dust and moisture. The first digit is for dust and the second digit is for moisture.
Anything higher than IP44 can be used in bathroom zones 1 and 2. IP44 is splash proof and resistance to particles larger than 1mm.
An IP65 rating offers a higher resistance to moisture and is generally used outdoors. IP65 is usually specified for bathroom downlights but according to the Building Regulations, IP44 provides adequate protection.
An IP68 rating is fully water resistant and can be submersed in water, up to 1M in depth.

LEDs Per Metre
The more LEDs you have per metre, the more seamless the lighting effect becomes. Older LED tapes with 30 or 60 LEDs per metre have wider gaps between them which creates a dotting effect. COB (Chip On-Board) LED strips with 480 LEDs produce a seamless, dot-free lighting effect.
Wattage
A higher wattage strip doesn't always = brighter light. The accurate way of judging LED lighting on brightness is with their lumens. For example our 4W LED tape is highly energy efficient and brighter than our 7.2W version.
IP Ratings
IP20 offers no resistance to water but is fine for use in kitchen cabinets.
IP65 is water and dust resistant. It has a silicone glue coating that shields it from splashes and dust.
IP68 is fully water and dust resistant, suitable for outdoor use or submersing in water.
Voltage
12V strips have shorter cut points than 24V allowing for a more accurate measurement. But 24V strips are better for longer runs over 5M.
In general the 480 LEDs per metre COB tape, with an IP20 rating is ideal for the majority of applications.

Mains voltage is 230V AC and has a tolerance of 10%, some products are 220V or 240V AC which means they can be classed as mains voltage.
DC voltages usually require an LED driver to convert the mains voltage AC into low voltage DC. Popular DC voltages are 12V or 24V DC.
