Features
Our new and improved outdoor LED strip tape is rated at IP68 and is fully water and dust resistant. Fully encapsulated inside a silicone tube, it's ideal for use externally and can even be submersed under water up to 3 metres. The silicone tube also provides more protection for the arduous outdoor conditions.
Available in 3 popular single colour temperatures of 2700K extra warm white, 3000K warm white and 4000K cool white. It is also available in RGB colour changing as well as our new IP68 RGBW and RGBWW strips. RGBW LED tape is a combination of RGB colour changing and a dedicated 4000K LED chip in the same row of LED chips. This offers colour changing effects and a true cool white in one neat LED strip. The RGBWW version contains a dedicated 3000K LED chip. These types of LED tapes are becoming increasingly popular as they provide superior mood lighting effects and proper white light.
Another key feature of our outdoor LED strip tape is that it has high CRI LED chips, with a CRI90 rating they reproduce colours more effectively and produce a superior quality of light. This is made possible with our premium COB Epistar LED chips.
As part of our own LED Strip Fit brand of products we can supply outdoor LED tape in bespoke made to measure to the lengths that you require, including soldered input cables. This way no wastage is necessary and valuable time can be saved on site. Please note that no push on connectors are available for this range and the total meterage ordered online will be sent as a single length up to 10M. If you wish to cut this into multiple lengths then you would be required to solder a new connection onto the tape and seal it accordingly.

Wattage Consumption & LED Driver Loading
- The COB version with 480 LEDs per metre version is 15 watts per metre.
- The high output RGB with 96 LEDs per metre RGBW and RGBWW tapes are 23 watts per metre.
To select the correct LED driver (also known as an LED power supply or LED transformer) follow these 4 rules:
1. The voltage of the LED tape must be the same as the LED driver. If the LED tape is 24V the LED driver must be 24V.
2. The wattage rating of the LED driver must be big enough to carry the full load of the LED tape or tapes that you're connected to it. Our LED drivers can be loaded to 100%, so a 60W driver means 60W.
3. If you want dimmable single colour LED tape you'll need a dimmable LED driver and LED compatible dimmer switch. Colour changing and colour temperature adjustable LED tapes require a non dimmable driver as the dimming is done by a controller.
4. If in doubt please contact us with your requirements and we'll get back to you quickly and answer any other questions you have.

Specifications & Dimensions
Specifications Beam Angle SpecificationsEvery light source from an LED to a simple wax candle has a beam angle. A beam angle is a measurement of how the light is distributed. GU10 LEDs and recessed downlights have a fairly narrow beam of around 40 degrees, anything within 5 degrees is classed as a medium beam.
A wax candle or traditional light bulb would have a beam angle of 360 degrees as the light shines all the way around but is less intense.
Combing brighter downlights with wider 60 degree beams allows you to space them out further, reducing the total amount of lights needed.

120 Degrees Brand SpecificationsLED Strip Fit CRI SpecificationsCRI stands for Colour Rendering Index. It is a measurement of how well a light source can render the true colour of an object compared to natural light.
Rated out of 100, with an open flame or sunlight being a perfect 100. A light with 90 CRI and above would be classed as having high CRI, while 80 CRI is the standard for LEDs.
90 Ra Cap Type Integrated LED Colour Temperature SpecificationsColour temperature is a measurement of appearance. Measured in Kelvins, the lower the rating, the warmer the light appears. Choosing the right temperature can have a dramatic effect on a room.
2700K - Extra Warm White
Similar to a traditional incandescent light bulb or halogen. It has a more orange and warmer tone, with a ‘soft white’ appearance. Ideal for living rooms.
3000K - Warm White
Clearer, but still quite warm. This is the ‘new norm’ for general lighting and is the most popular option. If you’re unsure I’d recommend trying this one.
4000K - Cool White
Clearer, whiter and crisp; used in commercial locations including supermarkets. Cool white appears brighter than warm white as the LED is covered in less phosphor. It can make a room appear cold and clinical but used correctly (white walls etc) it can make a room appear cleaner and modern.

Dimensions Located Below Specifications Table Dimmable Yes GTiN 612292192471 IP Rating SpecificationsIP (International or Ingress Protection) defines a products level of resistance to dust and moisture. The first digit is for dust and the second digit is for moisture.
Anything higher than IP44 can be used in bathroom zones 1 and 2. IP44 is splash proof and resistance to particles larger than 1mm.
An IP65 rating offers a higher resistance to moisture and is generally used outdoors. IP65 is usually specified for bathroom downlights but according to the Building Regulations, IP44 provides adequate protection.
An IP68 rating is fully water resistant and can be submersed in water, up to 1M in depth.
IP68 Life Expectancy 50,000 Hours Product Type SpecificationsLED Tape Sku LEDST602835IP68* Voltage SpecificationsAC standards for alternating current and DC standards for direct current.
Mains voltage is 230V AC and has a tolerance of 10%, some products are 220V or 240V AC which means they can be classed as mains voltage.
DC voltages usually require an LED driver to convert the mains voltage AC into low voltage DC. Popular DC voltages are 12V or 24V DC.
24V DC Warranty SpecificationsThe minimum guarantee period of this product.

Product Questions & Answers
Hi,
Please can you tell me if your outdoor led strip tape can be used in conjunction with a PIR as I would like to use it around my garage soffits.
Regards NeilQuestion by: Neil on 18 Jun 2022, 14:52Yes, a PIR would switch the LED driver rather than the LED tape, so you wouldn't have any compatibility issues.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 20 Jun 2022, 10:03Could this be used in a saltwater pool?Question by: Callum on 19 Jul 2022, 23:06I've double checked this, but no it can't unfortunately.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 21 Jul 2022, 10:40I recently bought this led strip light and need to cut, reconnect and also extend what connectors are available for this range/type of ip68 led stripQuestion by: Andy Swift on 3 Apr 2023, 22:35The only way of doing this would be to solder a cable to the cut piece, reseal and heatshrink.Answer by: Mathew Smith (Admin) on 4 Apr 2023, 11:15Can you let me know the part numbers on your web site so that I can order what I require.
Thanks in advanceQuestion by: Andy Swift on 4 Apr 2023, 14:48Can you email the enquiry to [email protected] including the length so we can get this quoted?Answer by: Mathew Smith (Admin) on 5 Apr 2023, 13:48I would like to illuminate three steps on a garden path by fitting LED Strip Tapes beneath the overhang on each step. The step width is 890mm and the depth of overhang is 20mm. I would want the strips to be warm white in colour and connected to a dimmer and PIR.
Can you please advise whether your strip tape would be suitable and what I would need to install it.
I see in your FAQs that they can be cut and cables soldered on. Can this be done at 890mm?Question by: Stuart on 22 Jun 2024, 14:24The strip would be suitable for this installation and we can get it cut and soldered although we do ask that you email sales to get the quote done which we will include all the fixings and drivers required.
The strip does have cut points every 50mm therefore you would have to run them at 850mm.Answer by: Oliver Clegg (Admin) on 24 Jun 2024, 08:37 -
