Solder less fast connectors that allow you to reconnect LED strip tape together without having to solder. Available in 4 pin (for RGB strips) or 2 pin (for single colour strips). Cables lengths are 140mm except for the 1M metre version.
Solder less connectors are only recommended for use with non IP rated LED strips. Although they can be used with IP65 rated strips, you don't always get a proper connection due to the epoxy resin. It can remain on the connections and cause problems with continuity. If you plan to use these with IP65 rated strips, you may need to burn off the resin with a soldering knife but if you're going to use a soldering knife, you may as well solder the connections.
Available either with a coupling cable that includes a fast connector on each end, or as an input connector which has a fast connector on one side and a bare wire on the other side.
To install them simply cut your LED tape to the desired length then open the hinge of the butt connector. Insert the LED tape into the butt connector and close the hinge. You will then have a new input cable or coupling cable on the LED tape. The coupling cables can be used for flexible bends (shown below), allowing more flexibility for corners.
Be sure not to go over the recommended continuous length of the LED tape or volt drop issues will occur.
- Available for use with 4 pin RGB strips or 2 pin single colour versions.
